Worship Ministry

The goal of the worship ministry at Westchester is as Paul writes in Ephesians 4:12, "To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." We believe the best way to equip our people for ministry between Sundays is to sing songs that are theologically rich, glorifying to God, and singable.

As a multi-generational church we made the decision to blend our worship rather than splitting into traditional and contemporary services. We are actively choosing to come together and learn from one another than dividing over stylistic choices. We believe, as the Apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 3:16 that we should come together, “singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.” We believe that this means singing a wide range of songs from our Christian heritage, to what is being written now, and also where God has inspired members of our church to write music.  For a sampling of songs we sing you can follow our Spotify playlist

We try to be diverse in our styles as to cast a wide net with which we draw people to worship our Lord. In our sanctuary you will hear acoustic, folk, rock, jazz, gospel, and traditional music. If you are gifted in the arts and would like to learn more about serving in our church please contact Pastor Austin.
